Circe's Sanatorium - a TS2 Asylum Challenge | 0

My name is Circe Beaker. You might recognize my surname by way of my husband – that Beaker, the mad scientist who went insane and accidentally nuked Pleasantview during an experiment.

 But that's in the past, and we don’t' talk about it in polite company. Brings up too many emotions.

Anyway. I am a doctor by profession, and I've noticed some rather... pecuiliar sort of folks reside in Strangetown.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Olive Specter Foundation, I have been able to open a mental health facility in pristine, picturesque Riverblossom Hills, way out in the country and far, far from Strangetown. It's an idyllic location, surrounded by farm and woodlands on all sides, and impossible to escape.

I mean, it's for their own safety, really, and for the safety of the local residents.

I've been given enough funds to take seven patients – though unfortunately there are only four beds. This is to help in the recovery process: by breaking the patients' spirits, I can rebuild them into functional, healthy people. Let's meet our victims patients, shall we?

The Curious Brothers

These three brothers are a special bunch.

Pascal Curious

Pascal began experiencing hallucinations, seeing lights in the sky and claiming he'd been abducted by aliens, probed, and impregnated. He demonstrated symptoms of a phantom pregnancy, which is unusual in a male. He was convinced that his additional weight was, in fact, an alien child developing inside him.

He needs to come back down to Earth and realize that aliens are not real, and men birthing children is impossible, hence his imprisonment hospitalization.

Vidcund Curious

Vidcund Curious, Pascal's brother, has always followed Pascal's lead, so once Pascal became delusional about his psychoses, Vidcund grew obsessed with meeting aliens, too, and having a humanoid-hybrid child of his own.

Lazlo Curious

Lazlo didn't want to leave his brothers, so he voluntarily committed himself to my facility. His only real delusion is that he looks good with that haircut and shirt combination. Yikes.

Subject N aka Nervous Subject

Nervous Subject was traumatized by abusive foster parents who locked him in the basement unless they needed a test subject for their dangerous, painful experiments!

NO! I don't know who they were, so don't ask!

Bella Doe

The local army base patrolmen spotted this poor woman wandering the desert all alone, babbling about extraterrestrials and some "handsome doctor son-in-law." When asked, she could barely provide her name - Bella. There are no further clues as to her identity. She is known locally as Bella Doe; but surely someone misses her terribly back home, wherever that is.

Ophelia Nigmos

Ophelia was committed by her guardian and aunt Olive, who happens to be our most generous benefactor here at the Circe Center. Olive was growing concerned about her mental state following her emergence into adulthood. Ophelia suffers from delusions about the ghostly residents of her aunt's garden and has made false murder accusations against Olive on numerous occasions.

Olive? A murderer? Doubtful. She's an upstanding member of the Strangetown community.

Jenny Smith

Jenny Smith had been living in a fantasy world for nearly 20 years when the police found her alone in a pristine home talking to the walls. She's convinced that she married an alien and has two half-alien children, but Adult Protective Services found only two mops with paper-plate faces on them and some flour sacks when they inspected her home for safety.
